Software Engineer

Location:  Redlands, CA. 

Compensation: Full time salary plus benefits. (Exempt Employee).

Education and Experience

The successful incumbent will have a Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology from a regionally accredited university. Also, prefer 2-5 years of prior relevant experience. 

   
Required Skills
  • • Knows fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of software engineering
  • • Experience with Visual Studio, GIT repository, and embedded systems, RTOS
  • • Experience with high level programming languages: Visual Basic, C++, C#, SQL, ActiveX Controls, and .NET Framework
  • • Experience with Modbus family of protocols a plus
  • • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • • Ability to demonstrate software in-person or via web conference
  • • Strong technical writing skills
  • • Bilingual (Spanish, German, or French) a plus

 

 
Job Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • • Embedded software development
  • • Design, develop, release, and maintain software and solutions for sophisticated systems that collect, store, display, and analyze data collected from particle counters, microbial air samplers, and other environmental monitoring instruments.
  • • Work within management guidelines and marketing specifications to meet key market requirements and deliver projects on schedule.
  • • Plan and conduct software testing and validation
  • • Write manuals and validation documentation in compliance with GDP
  • • Provide telephone or email customer support
  • • Provide training and support to internal staff on system software and solutions.
  • • Must follow all procedures established for ISO 9001 Quality Management System

 
Physical & Other Requirements
  • • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. from the floor to above your head. Carrying heavy objects may be required.
  • • Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time required.
  • • Ability to type at least 60 WPM
