Location:  Redlands, CA. 

Compensation: Full time salary plus benefits (Non-Exempt Employee).

Climet manufacture's environmental monitoring instruments for pharmaceutical cleanrooms.  Our Purchasing Clerk orders supplies and raw materials for our instruments. They report directly to the Purchasing Manager, and provide administrative support and maintain inventory and purchase records throughout the procurement process. The Purchasing Clerk also participates in vendor relationship management, identifying cost-saving opportunities to support Climet's profitability goals.


Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required. Strongly prefer a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with an Accounting or Economics concentration from a regionally accredited university. If no Bachelor's degree, 3+ years prior experience in electronics purchasing preferred.

Job Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • • Prepare and distribute accurate and complete purchase orders for supplies, materials, and raw goods
  • • Research vendors and collect prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services
  • • Establish and follow-up on delivery dates
  • • Type and issue RFQ's
  • • Performs minor purchasing activities, generally of commodities
  • • Basic understanding of inventory / purchasing principles and basic accounting procedures.
  • • General clerical activities including filing and answering telephones
  • • Assist as needed in the stockroom, performing and verifying counts
   
Physical Requirements

Successful Candidates must be able to perform the following:

  • • Ability to perform intricate hand manipulations, such as typing a minimum of 25-30 WPM.
  • • Must be able to lift 15 lbs. from the floor to above your head
  • • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time required
   
Other

A basic English and Math test will be administered as part of the pre-selection process.  The successful candidate must also pass a physical and a drug test as condition for continued employment.
