Location:  Redlands, CA. 

Compensation: Full time salary plus benefits. (Non-Exempt Employee).  Starting wage varies by education and experience.

The Planner performs does master scheduling for material flow and inventory control in a manufacturing facility.

Education and Experience

This position requires, a high school diploma (GPA 3.0+). Prefer a 4-year Bachelor degree.

2+ years prior manufacturing or warehouse/stockroom experience a plus.

   
Required Skills

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • • Ability to type at least 30 WPM with strong 10-key data entry skills.
  • • Strong reading and comprehension of basic English
  • • Strong basic math skills
  • • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office applications
  • • Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
  • • Excellent organizational skills
  • • Proven experience as a production planner a plus
  • • Experience working with Materials Resource Planning (MRP) applications
  • • Dependable: Must arrive on time, and history of excellent attendance
  • • Good understanding of material work flows and daily cycle counts
  • • Able to work in a fast pace environment
  • • Able to work with minimum direction and supervision
  • • A working knowledge of AS-400 a plus
   
Job Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • • Create work orders per production plan or other direction
  • • Maintain working knowledge of material lead times
  • • Assist in daily Cycle Counts
  • • Help resolve component material discrepancies
  • • Initiate raw material purchases
  • • Ability to have positive interaction with co-workers and other departments
  • • Assist in planning inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses
  • • Other duties as assigned
   
Physical Requirements

Successful Candidates must be able to perform the following:

  • • Ability to type and work efficiently on a computer
  • • Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
  • • Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time required.
   
Other

A basic English and Math test will be administered as part of the pre-selection process.  The successful candidate must also pass a physical and a drug test as condition for continued employment.
