Location:  Redlands, CA. 

Compensation: Full time salary plus benefits. (Non-Exempt Employee).  May require overtime.

Education and Experience

Associate of Science degree in Electronics, Engineering, or Technology (required).  Bachelor of Science preferred.

   
Required Skills

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • • Must have prior work experience demonstrating employment stability
  • • Must be mechanically inclined, with calibration experience
  • • Excellent organizational skills
  • • Strong analytical and report writing skills
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with math, and measuring skills
  • • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • • Experience leading a quality management system (i.e. ISO 17025)
  • • Advanced knowledge of standards: ISO 21501-4:2018 and 14644-1/2:2015
  • • Internal and external audit experience
  • • Must present themselves well during external audits
  • • Experience using electronics lab equipment
  • • Microsoft Office Suite Experience (Word, Excel, Access)
  • • Ability to differentiate between colors
   
Job Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • • Calibration and repair services
  • • knowledge of ISO 21501-4, 14644, and 17025 required
  • • Act as quality / technical resource for ISO 17025 audits and compliance
  • • Maintain the preventive maintenance, compliance and accuracy of calibration standards and test equipment
  • • Create and/or revise procedures to consistently and constantly maximize efficiency, standardization, and accuracy in calibrations
  • • Must follow all procedures established for ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • • Provide leadership and support to Lab Coordinator regarding prioritization of interlab proficiency studies
  • • Spearhead internal audits, and participate in external audits
  • • Work closely with and provide leadership to calibration technicians to ensure high quality, high accuracy and world-class service is delivered
  • • Other duties as assigned
   
Physical Requirements

Successful Candidates must be able to perform the following:

  • • Ability to perform intricate hand manipulations, such as soldering, using a screw driver, and similar actions.
  • • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to above your head
  • • Must be able to push a cart
  • • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time required
   
Other

A basic English and Math test will be administered as part of the pre-selection process.  The successful candidate must also pass a physical and a drug test as condition for continued employment.
