Education and Experience

The successful incumbent will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, emphasis in Human Resource Management, or another relevant field. Also, 5+ years Human Resource experience with 3+ years managing Human Resources for an organization.

  • • Expert knowledge of LOAs (FMLA/CFRA/PDL) and California labor laws
  • • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • • Bilingual (Spanish, German, or French) a plus

Job Duties

 Job duties and responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to:

  • • Manage one employee (a Human Resource Specialist)
  • • Employment processing, records management, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance
  • • Leave of Absence management (FMLA/CFRA/PDL/DFEH/ADA)
  • • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of personnel files and HR records/policies
  • • Process background checks on candidates for hire
  • • Coordinate monthly employee recognition program & Employee Newsletter
  • • Coordinate and schedule interviews with employment candidates via telephone
  • • Track employee benefit enrollment
  • • Create, maintain, and update department standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • • Must follow all procedures established for ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Physical & Other Requirements
  • • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. from the floor to above your head. Carrying heavy objects may be required.
  • • Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time required.
