Field Service Calibration Technician

Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with an Associate of Arts in Science degree in Electronics. A Bachelor degree in the electronics field a plus.

   
Required Skills

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • • Ability to read and comprehend Basic Math & English
  • • Prior history of job stability if not a recent college graduate
  • • Experience using electronics lab equipment a plus
  • • Electronics course work a plus and understanding of basic electronics preferred. Candidates may be given a pre-employment evaluation on their understanding of the aforementioned. Extensive training will be provided.
   
Job Duties

Job duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • • Calibration and IQ/OQ Services at customer onsite.
  • • Some calibrations will be performed at the local Climet lab in Charlottesville.
  • • Provide customer technical support as needed
  • • Frequent domestic and international travel as necessary
  • • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • • Must maintain a clean and organized work area
  • • Must follow all procedures established for ISO 9001 and ISO 17025
  • • Other duties as assigned
   
Physical Requirements

Successful Candidates must be able to perform the following:

  • • Ability to perform intricate hand manipulations, such as soldering, using a screw driver, and similar actions.
  • • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to above your head
  • • Must be able to push a cart
  • • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time required
  • • Travel up to 50%
  • • Must have ability to distinguish between colors
   
Other

A basic English and Math test will be administered as part of the pre-selection process.  The successful candidate must also pass a physical and a drug test as condition for continued employment.
